True to its promise to create great moments for everyone, everyday, City Centre Muscat and City Centre Qurum - Majid Al Futtaim’s two much-loved shopping destinations in the Sultanate, will deliver world-class entertainment during the 19th edition of Muscat Festival 2017 from 19 January to 11 February.

The Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) will rise from the sewers of New York City and head over to Oman for the very first time. Be prepared to meet the mutant heroes from 24 January to 3 February.

Going to make their first-ever stage appearance in the Sultanate, the powerful turtles will present three power-packed shows ‘Turtle Power’ at City Centre Muscat at 5:00 pm, 6:30 pm and 8:00 pm from 24 - 30 January.

In addition to the daily live performances, City Centre Muscat will host TMNT Green & Extreme, which will bring kids to the underworld of New York City suburbs with adventurous games and competitions.  From Turtles Tyre race to make-overs and balloon power, Nickelodeons' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have all it takes to get whoever joins their team perfectly trained for their upcoming adventure. Daily sessions will be held at 4:00 pm, 5:30 pm, 7:00 pm and 8:30 pm.

Additionally, visitors will have the opportunity to meet Leonardo, Donatello and Raphael, and Michelangelo up-close and personal from 1st to 3rd February in City Centre Qurum, four times daily at 4:00 pm, 5:30 pm, 7:00 pm, and 8:30 pm.

City Centre Qurum will also host TMNT Pizza Power, a chance to meet with the famous turtles and help them prepare for a pizza party. Children will have the opportunity to show off their pizza-making skills, make their favourite Ninja Turtle out of balloons, or say ‘cheesy pizza’ and take a photo with the legendary characters.

Furthermore, City Centre Muscat and City Centre Qurum will transform into a carnival for the duration of the Muscat Festival.  Get ready for cotton candy and some good family fun - it’s a carnival feel in City Centre malls.  Each mall will set up activation area, which will feature brightly coloured decorations and classic carnival games, as well as entertainers. There's nothing like a Carnival to evoke the fondest of memories for kids of all ages during Muscat Festival.

“Majid Al Futtaim continues to uphold its commitment to contributing to Sultanate’s tourism and retail sectors by hosting international entertainment like Nickelodeons' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, unbeatable promotions and compelling activities attracting residents and tourists alike,” said Husam Al Mandhari, Senior Mall Manager at City Centre Muscat.  “Our company’s vision is to create great moments and provide an unforgettable experience for our visitors,” he added.

“Nickelodeons' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show underscores City Centre Qurum's commitment to delivering first time family experiences and international entertainment.  We invite everyone to make the most of our incredible offerings during Muscat Festival, from deeply attractive promotions and carnival inspired activities, all while enjoying great moments together,” said Watfa Humaid Al Harthy, Senior Mall Manager at City Centre Qurum.

City Centre Muscat and City Centre Qurum have been long-standing supporters of Muscat Festival, which celebrates culture, arts, and entertainment throughout the Sultanate. In partnership with Muscat Municipality, the leading retail destinations aim to entertain and reward shoppers throughout the month-long event.

The popular cartoon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT or Ninja Turtles) became very famous in the late 1980s. Comprising of Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo, the four fictional anthropomorphic turtles were trained by their anthropomorphic rat sensei, Splinter, in the art of ninjutsu. Specialising in fighting petty criminals, evil overlords, mutated creatures and aliens’ invaders, they thrive to protect New York City residents.
